Timothy L. Steers

Tim graduated with Honors from Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with concentrations in Accounting and Finance. After graduation, Tim joined the International accounting firm of Ernst & Young, one of the world’s largest, most prestigious accounting firms. During his time at Ernst & Young he advanced his position to Principal and was the Portland, Oregon office’s Director of Entrepreneurial Services Group. This Group not only delivered traditional accounting, auditing, and tax services to smaller, growing businesses and their owners, it provided business plan, forecast and projection, and finding capital services. His experience at Ernst & Young was invaluable and brings 10 years of experience in providing unique services to clients in a variety of industries.

Tim left Ernst & Young to become the Chief Executive Officer of one of his clients; a growing business which distributed cleanroom products to customers primarily in the semiconductor industry. He successfully planned the merger of this company with a national distributor.

He then returned to public accounting joining a large, regional firm headquartered in Portland, Oregon. As a Partner, he was the firmwide Director of Accounting and Auditing services. After seven years with that firm, he fulfilled a life-long goal by forming Timothy Steers Company.

Tim is deeply passionate about the services he provides and quickly becomes a friend and trusted advisor to his clients. To him it is not just numbers, it is the value of the services he provides. He takes his clients’ business personally. With over 30 years’ experience, he helps steer them through rapidly changing tax regulations and emerging risks so his clients can make trusted decisions on solid grounds.
